They are completely new to this kind of pennant race and they have no Allstar 3B and 1/3 of the Allstar C right now. Oh, and their Allstar RHP that has been awesome is hurt, too.

Quit making excuses for the team. We expected a drop off after Degrom, Eovaldi, Jung, heim got hurt, but I don't think anyone expected us to morph into the Oakland A's or Detroit tigers offense overnight.

We still have plenty of offensive talent. Enough to put up 3 runs a game, which is a normal amount for a standard mlb offense.

Our starters have been pitching their ass off in august and we can't get them any run support. The bullpen and lineup are killing us. Seems like the wheels fall off in one or both then we lose.

Montgomery has pitched like an ace since we got him, but we've wasted most of his starts with triple AAA quality offense against teams throwing bullpen / triple AAA guys it's a freaking disgrace. The Astros or Braves would be pounding these pitchers all over the yard, but they are holding us to 0 or 1 runs on a regular basis.


There have been a good four or five multi game stretches of very limited run production like this. At this point that's just the character of the team.
