I think we miss the Brewers ace, but the diamondbacks are supposedly going to throw Gallen at us which is really terrible luck because we got him twice and both times it was a 2 game series.

We faced all of Oakland / San Francisco's best pitchers and had a good road trip even if we lose today, but we have had ****ty luck with the pitching matchups for the last 5-10 series it seems like.

And that is Eflin, their only remaining SP.

Future All-stars Juan Gonzalez, Sammy Sosa, Wilson Alvarez, Mike Stanley, and Dean Palmer had made their debut. Hall of fame catcher Ivan Rodriguez was in the minor leagues.

All of this talent was waiting in the wings to go along with young All-Stars Ruben Sierra, Rafael Palmeiro, Julio Franco and Jeff Russell.

Tom Grieve was the general manager at the time and I don't know whether to give him credit for compiling the talent or to blast him for not putting it all together. I just hate the thought of not having late 90's Brown, Rogers, and Moyer anchoring the rotation with the lineup that we put together in those days.

Definitely on. Gave up the 2 out hit to Peterson but it was a pitch on the inside corner. Dunning all over the corners in the first.

Ump likes calling strikes 6 inches below the zone

Why do these umps suddenly hate Adolis? Some of these strike calls are flat our horrendous.

Pitchers like Webb and Dunning are poster children for having electronic strike zones. Everything they throw has a ton of movement and makes an umpires job that much harder because they see one thing, then the ball falls off the table below the zone.
