If he can handle the pain, I'm sure they would just have him "rehab" to live pitching in practice. He might be one of those guys that doesn't NEED a week long rehab assignment at Frisco.

Would the minor league season be pretty much over by then? Maybe in their post season?

ETA: Might be wishful thinking but I think I remember him healing pretty quick from his other stuff.. so who knows.

I heard Mike Bacsik saying he's pretty much eliminated. I think so unless maybe he has an out of body experience and bats .500 with like 6 homeruns in the post season. Until the vote takes place at least.

Going to be pretty tough imo. Yoshida has been very good all year and has better on-base stats than Jung (and plays for Boston), and Gunner Henderson from Baltimore is catching up on the slugging statistics. If Jung just maintained for the rest of the season I think he'd be fine, but missing 6 weeks is really really going to hurt him against both guys playing on the East coast. Would need Henderson and Yoshida to have very awful August's and Septembers I think.
