Same way the Mets have a $353M Payroll.
Tatis Jr started the season serving a PED suspension carried over from 2022.
They also have a number of players that are terrible. So, for Tatis, Sota, and Machado, they had Odor, Sanchez, and Grisham.
Don't let their Stars beat you... Don't walk guys hitting .206 and you'll fare well.
10 hits, 16 innings, and 1 run so far in SD. Must be 1 hell of a silver lining.Dwb22 said:
Silver lining from this stretch could be Smith finding his bat. He's looked better recently
They didn't seem serious about selling anyway. Carter for 2 months of snell? Preller is on crack.gigem1223 said:
Welp Hader in the 9th. This one's over. Need to bounce back tomorrow and avoid the sweep. What a piss poor showing. Not only have we lost 2 straight but also probably just kept Preller from selling.
He's a right handed Joey Gallo.fightintxag13 said:
Huff at DH leaves a lot to be desired.

Even after trading for Max Scherzer, the Rangers are still looking to add another starting pitcher and 1-2 bullpen arms, per sources. "They are going for it," said a rival executive.

Ok…..I don't fault the front office for wanting to win, but can this be accomplished without gutting the farm?
So the new list of untouchables should be Carter, Langford, and porter?Flounder Dorfman said:Grapesoda2525 said:Even after trading for Max Scherzer, the Rangers are still looking to add another starting pitcher and 1-2 bullpen arms, per sources. "They are going for it," said a rival executive.

If Acuna is blocked, then so are Foscue and Saggesse. And now Harris after drafting Langford. Then you have to decide if Winn or Leiter have more value with a change of scenery. There are still a lot of assets that will probably never contribute here.

As part of the agreement, Scherzer has reportedly exercised his option for next season that will see him earn more than $43 million. (The Rangers will be responsible for only $22.5 million of Scherzer's overall take-home amount, per multiple reports.)
