Cleveland gave us their best, TB threw mcclanahan, dodgers is only series where we didn't see an ace, Astros threw Valdez and France, padres are giving us their 3 best, white Sox are scheduled to throw cease at us, Miami matchups don't look good.

Unless we put together a rally late tonight, we will have only 6 series wins since May (out of 16 series played).

Welp Hader in the 9th. This one's over. Need to bounce back tomorrow and avoid the sweep. What a piss poor showing. Not only have we lost 2 straight but also probably just kept Preller from selling.

We need Seager and Eovaldi back asap. Their absences have really hurt the team this last 10 days or so.
It's a shame that the cubs have caught fire. Could really use a left handed bat like Bellinger's in the middle of this line up right now.
This year always had potential to be a really annoying deadline. I'm not buying that the Padres were going to hinge their seller status on this series.

I hate to say it, but I'm not even stoked about the Scherzer trade because I'm more concerned about Eovaldi missing all these starts and the team probably going 1-5 this week.
The Astros appear to be gearing up to make a run while we're just wandering aimlessly right now. These games in San Diego haven't even been competitive.
And the rays have given up on tomorrow, they moved glasnow back. He's no longer pitching against the Astros.
So far, in the AL, I think the Rangers have done the most to improve their team. Champman and Scherzer.
Injuries are always important.
Does getting Scherzer influence other AL teams?

If Acuna is blocked, then so are Foscue and Saggesse. And now Harris after drafting Langford. Then you have to decide if Winn or Leiter have more value with a change of scenery. There are still a lot of assets that will probably never contribute here.

Harris - Likely getting passed. Needs to enter the Transfer Portal.
Winn doesn't have much value, IMO. Leiter has name value.
Several others can be moved. Bradford, Otto, White could be included.
It will take awhile, but There's a pretty good chance the rangers will have both Degrom and Scherzer in the same rotation in 2024.

You could add Zavala and Ornelas to this list as well. Guys who are simply likely never going to contribute for this club because of there being no path to playing time. I think White is moveable as well. Just my personal opinion and I hope I'm wrong, but I think he's going to turn out to be a JAG. After watching him a few times and looking into his advanced numbers, I just don't see him becoming more than a back end of the rotation type of guy.
So the more we learn, the more we see that CY is just a massive upgrade to this organization.
