If I read it correctly, the article suggests to go "all-in" in the draft.

I guess you'd look at all of the Top picks you have and include those that are "going to college" because they want to be drafted higher with a better slot.

Instead, change their mind. Take the top 5-10 College destined players in Rds 10-15 (or so)... offer then 1st Rd money.

If you think these guys are likely future 1st Rounders... take them now. You'd lose your next 2 1st Rounders, but you've already picked up those pieces.

Several teams (LAD and I think Boston) have done that with the Int'l Pool. Sign a huge haul when you know the next year's players may not be as talented.
