Royals win it. Back to 4.5 over Astros and angels.

Good news: Angels and Astros lose.
Great news: Rangers win.
Bad news: The reverse AsSHAT was only in effect for a few minutes.

Does it bother anyone else when you look in one of the suites behind home plate and EVERYONE in the suite has their back to the field playing grab ass? Seems like a pricey place to go screw around and be on TV doing it.

What bothers me is the restricted access to premium areas before game. I have so many fond memories of chasing autographs as a kid and seeing the players up close. Seems like that's all gone by the wayside now.

The suites behind homeplate drive me friggin nuts. Distracting grabass. And just looks like crap. I like a traditional backstop.

Weird that I got roasted for this exact opinion a couple days ago. Completely agree with you. It's the worst part of the stadium.

Well, with that win, I guess I have to stay away from watching games for a few days. It sucks but we need to get back to our winning ways. I'll have more free time I guess.

I wouldn't have minded all of the other field level suites, but the 2-3 in that camera/pitcher's eye could have easily been done as some sort of luxury seating and service that they could still soak for massive $$$$$

I honestly barely notice they're there.

Well, I find it a little hard not to notice when 5 dbags are taking a selfie with their backs to the field just as the potential winning run is up at the plate with 2 outs at the bottom of the 9th like a few nights ago

Idk if any of y'all are watching LSU, but good lord I would give up all of our top prospects to have a chance at getting Skenes or even Crews. Every time I see them play I am blown away more and more.

Word on the street is we may very well have a shot at Skenes.

I might throw my entire allotment of signing money at him lol.

My how things have changed....

"On June 14, 1974, Nolan Ryan of the California Angels throws 235 pitches and strikes out 19 batters in a 13-inning stint against the Boston Red Sox. Ryan's victims include Cecil Cooper, who fans a total of six times. Although the Angels eventually win the game in 15 innings, Ryan settles for a no-decision. The right-hander's performance will be the first of three 19-strikeout outings the Texan throws this season.
Barry Raziano is the winner in two innings of relief and Luis Tiant takes the loss in 14 1/3 innings, after Denny Doyle doubles home Mickey Rivers with the winning run."

I'd be thrilled with Skenes, Crews, Langford or Jenkins. I think all 4 are going to be great ball players. Good thing we were lucky enough to slide up a few spots in the lottery.

What are these rumblings around the draft you speak of?

Anyone know a good time to get to the ballpark if you want to see BP and have a chance at autographs?

Skenes really could be the next Verlander. Would be huge if he fell to us.

Rangers are usually done before gates open

I think he could slot into a AAA rotation now and dominate.

Damn. Haven't been to a game early in a long time. So what's the best way to get my boys a chance at a ball or maybe an autograph before the game? We're sitting in section 7.

Get there when gates open and go over to section 25. You might get lucky with players in the outfield

Just a few mock drafts that have had him slipping to the Rangers. Who knows how accurate they are.

Damn dude. Brutal double play. 0-14 with RISP this series.

0 for their last 20 with RISP. Just means we're due for a 5-5 type effort tomorrow.

He's really been struggling, but that was a huge walk by Garcia earlier. Made Jung's home run a 2 run homer instead of another solo. Seems like the last 10 rangers home runs have been solo shots ( not literally). We've had unbelievably bad luck with folks on base in regard to foul balls, the home plate umpire going blind, or hitting a ball really hard right at someone.

Just glad to get the win and really hope we can pick up a series win tomorrow. If you told me the whole division would win tomorrow, I'd be fine with that just to end the homestand on a good note.

You guys were right about the Reds. They're the Astros problem now. The reds seem hungry for a full state of Texas sweep of their schedule at 6-0. Just need 1 more win to complete the set and it would be fun if they got it.

We've had to look at ugly **** for the last 15 years or so behind home plate as rangers fans. It's nothing new. At the old ball park behind home plate, there was that nasty looking old lady who was an employee of the team and she was very noticeable on every single home tv game.

Just an update on the autograph hunt. Our future HOF ace, Cody Bradford, was nice enough to sign a couple balls for my boys after Burke threw them the balls.

That's awesome.

After graduating A&M in '94.. I went to a Rangers v Detroit game with a cousin and some of his friends who were all still in HS.

A Tiger was walking our way and one of his friends points and exclaims "Look! Sweet Lou Whitaker." The player reaches out his hand to request a ball. He throws the player a ball. He signs it and throws it back. "Milt Cuyler."

We were all still excited and he came over and signed more autographs. He was as happy to be asked to sign as we were to get a player to do it.
