I think it's more if it was 100% his call he's going. But he knows it's not 100% his call. So perhaps 1 skipped start or next start pushed back a few days if team wants to be cautious.

I imagine we'll skip his next start.

The hope is it's nothing, but silly with a guy like his injury history to just assume everything will be fine. He left the game after 4 innings with a no-hitter.

Not a surprise. I have 0 knowledge about how tv revenue works but common sense tells me that a tv network makes a lot of money off advertisements. Wouldn't it be better for you to allow all major tv cable companies to have access to your network so that viewership is way higher and thus more attractive to companies to advertise? Or at the very least allow people to watch the games on your very own subscription platform? I guess the guys running Bally with the fancy degrees think allowing the least amount of people possible to use their product is the winning formula.

Pretty sure the issue is MLB and not Ballys

MLB is against more viewers? Interesting business model by them.

I believe Bally's own their rights for like 7-10 more years.

I think MLB is trying to force Bally's to end the deal. Even if it hurts MLB and teams Bally's holds.

Reducing the number of people able to watch on Bally's reduces the Ad revenue Bally's gets but it also reduces what they can negotiate with for Spectrum, Comcast, et al. It will forced Bally's into Bankruptcy and will end their contract early.

MLB then comes in and makes tons of money on their own MLB Network. Fans return like they did after the '9 strike.
