Well, that was Stroman on the mound yesterday. Hated to waste such a good effort from Eovaldi. especially with so many guys in scoring position.

We get Perez v. the young Justin Steele today and Gray v. the astronomical ERA of Jameson Taillon on Sunday. We'll be fine.

BTW - if you've never gotten to Wrigley, go. I've been a couple of times and it's awesome. Never seen Rangers there. Thought about going this year but not for an April game - too cold.

Never been.

In college, I mapped out a summer trip going through the MidWest and East and hit like 20 stadiums in a month.

Never had the money, but would still love to do it.

Several of us expressed concerns about the offense. My worry is that the lineup is full of streaky hitters. I was hoping they would've gotten someone like Benintendi to provide another stable bat other than Lowe.

I like Lowe, but his swing can get really lazy at times, where he's just throwing his hands at the ball instead of staying connected through his swing.

I saw that HR coming.

Perez had 32 PC in the 3rd. That 2nd ER should be Unearned. I've seen about enough of Grossman. He fields that ball and the run doesn't score. He had 2 opportunities (2nd being the throw) in the 3rd to show he warrants being a starter and declined both.

I didn't hear it, but checked.

Perez had 32GS in 2022. The 1st two games he went 4.0 IP/ea, and then 30 games with 5.0+.

So, yes, it is 32 GS with at least 5.0 IP.

Hoping for 32 more.
