Sun seems to be brutal in left field. Seattle's LF misplayed a routine pop fly that turned into a double for Josh Smith
I'm all about extending pitchers slowly when coming out of the bullpen, but he could have easily gone 1-2 more innings at his pace and not had fatigue issues.gigem1223 said:
Dunning pulled with a 71 PC. BP has to get 9 outs
Another error by the manager? He pitches 2 innings fairly regularly. Why not leave him in here?gigem1223 said:
Ok Sborz….dude may have finally figured some **** out. He's been solid.
For the first time in a long time, I feel good about going to that possum infested sewer. The way our lineup is hitting and pitchers are pitching? We should get 3 out of 4 comfortably, but I know the last time we went into a bottom feeders ballpark we got throttled so you never know with baseball.gigem1223 said:
I hate when The Rangers have to play in that **** hole stadium in Oakland. Hopefully we get at least 3 there and finish the west coast road trip at 6-3. Can't remember the last time we could say that. Then get Seager back to start the home stand against the Braves and Rockies.
The walks killed us. That's why I hate playing Oakland. Their whole philosophy is they would rather walk than swing the bat. You gotta pound the zone and hit the corners to beat them. Only "nibble" or take chances when your pitcher as ahead in the count.gigem1223 said:
I wouldn't say they got throttled at Cincinnati. They led most the series. The bullpen unfortunately blew 2 big leads. That's another silver lining out of the Seattle series. The bullpen executed and closed 2, 1 run ball games.
Chas McCormick is out of the lineup with a sore back, Dusty Baker said. Baker said he “overdid it” on his minor league rehab assignment and also wondered whether Michael Brantley did something similar.
