I've been pleasantly surprised by Jankowski. He's pretty much been a JAG throughout his career, but he has done well here. During Spring Training I was one of the people clamoring to give Thompson a chance to be the every day LF'er, but he hasn't been able to get on base enough. He's got the speed and the glove, so maybe he can eventually figure it out, but for now I've got Duran in LF and and Jankowski as the utility guy in the OF.

We've done good enough in Tampa. Mainly needed to win 1 and have the guardians not get swept by the Astros. All 4 teams have gone 1-1 the last 2 days. We've pretty much made sure the rays series won't damage our lead too much. Even if we lose tomorrow and the guardians lose, we're going home for 7 games with a chance to gain in the Astros with a win on Monday because they're off.

Big and important win today. Now let's go get a series. Glad to see the lineup is back.

I agree we've done enough but a win tomorrow is a big statement. No more excuses from other teams with any doubt about us or our easy schedule. Go on the road and take 2 of 3 from the best team in mlb who never loses at home. Anybody have this game circled before the season start?

Yep. Don't throw in the towel yet though cuz the Rangers do as well with a team OPS of .838. Hopefully we catch McClanahan on an off day.

Not sure I like the strategy to pitch around Arozarena. The rays have scored 12 runs total against us in 2 games so by and large the strategy isn't working. I will admit that Spencer Howard ****ting the bed makes the total look a lot worse tho.

Or another 8-10 runs from the offense, but yeah the pitching matchups weren't ideal for us. The rays got 2 guys they'd prefer pitching in a hypothetical play matchup while we only got 1.

Nothing says we can't start a Righty and then bring Perez in 2nd time through.
