I think the injuries early took a toll on the team. I think that led to all the inconsistency with lineups etc. It took a long time to hit a groove and get everyone back, and it all barely came together at the end, just didn't have enough run in them to get it all the way done. Sucks getting blown out at home.

I'm trying to have the perspective that it's an awesome thing to be a fan of a team that is "in it or win it" year in and year out. It's been a fun run, and I hope we have a few more fun years.

I think all the lineups definitely played a part. None of the second string guys got any decent playing time. In, out, up, down… that really ****ed with a few of them near the end.

But Abreu was pretty awful all year, Peña never really lived up to expectations, Tucker hasn't been right for awhile and they all had very consistent playing time. I really think the clubhouse devolved all year into Dusty goo. It doesn't help that making the playoffs every year means our guys are wiped out. I think the short Winters definitely has played a role in the slow starts.

I can see Valdez, Javier, Bregman, and Maldonado being worn out. The rest of them had plenty of time off because of injuries or Dusty.

Offseason moves?

- Fire Dusty, Do not Resign Maldy

- Try and Re-sign Neris

- Get rid of Montero and eat a huge part of his contract

- I would say try and find a Short Stop because I have doubts Pena is going to turn it around, but the FA market doesn't look so hot.

Not sure we have to do much. Just playing Diaz alone at catcher is a huge upgrade. Not having a mentally handicapped manager would be another huge upgrade. Getting Garcia/LMJ will be a nice upgrade somewhere, even if they round out our bullpen.

Tucker hasn't truly been right since he got sick in late August or early September and missed several games. He was hot before that and mediocre ever since.

My comment is more related to the personality of the team. I don't disagree with many of the personnel moves; letting Springer and Correa go, even trading Kemp; but it altered the personality in the clubhouse that was either overlooked or most likely over thought. There are a bunch of good players on this team but much of the same quiet and reserved personalities. We thought a business like approach would work, I question that.
