From a San Francisco Giants fan, congratulations to the Houston Astros for battling back from a 4-2 deficit with a 3-run home run in the top of the 9th to defeat the Texas Rangers 5-4 to win game 5 and take a 3-2 lead. The Astros showed incredible defense by stranding 2 men on base with no outs in both the 8th and 9th innings. As a result, the road team has won all 5 games. Hopefully, the Astros defeat the Rangers in Game 6 on Sunday to defeat the Rangers 4-2.

My experience was eerily similar. Went to my 9th grade daughter's (Astros fan) volleyball game. They won. Snuck out during jv and varsity games to catch the end of the game at a wing place.

On the drive home I tried to recap it all for her, including some salty group texts from our distraught Rangers fan neighbor. Stated that I might be worried he might take a swing next time we are all gathered. She proceeded to break down the family rumble, starting with her incapacitating their elementary aged daughter, then helping her older sister with their eldest, then both teaming up with mom to take down their matriarch. Wanted to know how I felt going 1v1 with my bud.

Man I didn't get a chance to watch any of this game driving out of town for the weekend but I listened to every minute of it on the radio and what a ****ing ride it was!

I haven't read back through the game thread yet but Dusty is an OG! I won't be sad necessarily to see him gone if he leaves in the off season but he started the dominoes falling and played it perfect.

Altuve continues to drag his enormous sac all over every team we come across in the post season and it is glorious to watch.

Now they're whining about too many Astros fans in their park during an ALCS.

So I was out tonight in socal but watching the game either on a bar screen (where everyone was rooting against us) or on my phone. Going crazy for the whole thing. Came home and just finished watching the 5th inning on again and the post-game. I'll be damned if they didn't do it again.

I'd say it's unbelievable, but with Altuve and this team, you've just come to expect it.

I live in Fort Worth but was born and raised in Houston, been an Astros fan since I was 5. Last night was the first road playoff game I have ever attended. There were a lot of us there. The juxtaposition of the booing and pure hatred these people have for Altuve with the total silence when he hit the HR was incredible. What an amazing game to attend.
