the Braves and Dodgers really let down baseball fans with their no-show jobs in the NLDS

nothing against the D-Backs...but they are not exactly the most exciting team to watch. Lots of no-names...and with just 84 regular season wins...not really that great of a team

Maybe they are actually sold out to original ticket holders and others, but people are reselling them, or putting them on StubHub?

I mean, you can always get tickets to anything these days.

They're actually a ton of fun to watch. Lot of young talent, especially Corbin, and a ton of speed. It's great baseball when they're clicking. They're just overmatched in this series.

That's the great thing about being a fan and having rooting interests than span different sports. Being an Astros fan will turn you against other Ags and have you high-fiving with Longhorns.

Having lived in the metroplex for 13 years now, the sports fans up here are an interesting bunch, and much of it stems from the Cowboys. There's a lot of living in the past, a lot of thinking your franchise is historically better than it is, and a lot of moral victories in watching rivals lose, almost garnering as much pleasure as winning.

When you tack on being an Aggie and a lifetime of disappointment there, the behavior of Rangers fans js understandable. If you're younger than say, 35, all you have is a Mavs title to hang your hat on.

We were the same miserable ****s prior to 2017, without any recent successes. We are fortunate to be fans of one of the greatest stretches of success in sports history. Never take it for granted.

Not really breaking any news here but Yordan is just so damn good.

How a man his size was able to to pull his hands in and drop in an opposite field hit like he did last night is incredible.

He truly is a generational talent yet is still somehow underrated.

I like Joe Buck

I really came t appreciate him when I heard him on a podcast and when asked about the negative feedback he often gets he simply said 'When everyone bltches about you and claims you're being a homer then you know you're doing a good job'.

He's a great listen in one on one interviews.

The way I've always heard it is essentially the ball must be released from the glove "voluntarily" by a fielder...any fielder.

You can make the catch, slam into the wall and get knocked out but still have the ball in your glove and it's technically not an out until you wake up and release the ball...or another fielder comes over and releases the ball for you.

I dressed like a fanatic. Orange socks, Astros shorts, McCullers jersey, World Series cap, Astros towel in the pocket, & drank special edition Crawford bock.
