Lopez and Correa just basically beat the Astros by themselves.
Yep kudos to those two for playing a heckuva game.

We better start playing with more energy. The Twins want it.

Few thing in our favor:

1. Lopez has been used
2. We are on the road now
3. Yordan has been activated.

Things against us:

1. Don't know if we'll get good or bad Javier

Far from it for me. Astros win game 1 was about it. Everything else sucked donkey dick,

I think you're forgetting #2 on the "Things against us" list.

Unfortunately Yordan being activated isn't enough. Can't have Bregman, Abreu, and Tucker going silent. And add a Maldy GIDP machine into the mix, and it's hard to get any momentumg going.

But certainly playoff Yordan is a good thing indeed

Main thing in the Twins favor, Dusty Baker and putting Maldy in who is a guaranteed two outs every 9 batters

When 3 of your top 5 guys are hitting with maldys average, we have a problem.

Starting Diaz wouldn't have made a difference tonight but the fact it took Donkey so long to pinch hit him is ridiculous and I think we all know Maldy will start once again because Donkey is going to ride or die with him (emphasis HEAVILY on "die").

the Astros were a 90-win team this year

not a 100+

this team has more flaws than in years past

just need to get the series back to MMP for JV in game 5

Can't have Dubon filling in at short when we need him to take over in center.

Especially when we are down by 3+ runs going into mid game.

If you're down by that many runs, it's time to take Maldy out. No excuse not to. This is the ******* playoffs.

True. The good news is we're still more than good enough to win the AL over any of the teams still in it.

As soon as the Twins won their WC series I said I'm scared of Correa. Tonight is why.

I knew he would go off on us.

Abreu looks old again

1 for 7 in the series

need White Sox Abreu in Minnesota

Ugh. Just realized I won't see any of the rest of the ALDS with these early ass games.

Dusty is the biggest team flaw we have. Replace negative WAR with high positive WAR and that can be the difference maker.

I think we get to 100+ games if Dusty wasn't being Dusty with the lineup decisions. Need I remind you how much he played Julks in the regular season.

It's amazing he hasn't played Kessinger yet. I'm sure he's tempted.

Did anyone honestly think we would sweep?

I still think we can take 2 of 3 from the Twins.

What a subpar sports weekend. Ags lose. Astros split. Arlington dbags are back to being the hottest thing in baseball. Miserable

A lot rides on Javier and Urquidy. We get the Javier of the last week of the season on Tuesday, will be in good shape.

Did not think we'd sweep but did think the one (or two) we lost wouldn't come before going to Minneapolis.

I'm hanging my hopes on the fact that we know hostile, amped-up crowds don't affect this team. But this also very obviously isn't the same team as last year's.

If Javier gets shelled or even just isn't great with Gray on the mound for the Twins, I think we're toast. But if we can shut down their home energy, then it should work out.

When do we see JP France in this series? Will be tandem start with Urquidy for game 4?

I think Urquidy has to go in game 3 because I think Javier isn't gonna give a lot of length. I think it's France or bust in game 4.

11 game ALDS home winning streak snapped tonight.

First ALDS home loss since 2015

I hope Javier is ready to deal b/c we didn't have much success against Gray, this year. Although, both of those games might have been without Altuve and Yordan...can't remember.

The one in May at home, chased him and took lead, Pressly coughed up a run and lost in extras

Who would've thought a lineup with Abreu cleaning up and Hensley batting sixth along with Maldonado's dead weight would've struggled against Sonny Gray.

Both games went to extras and Astros lost.

Looking at those series I found one game Bielak started and won.
