Everybody always hypes up the Rays but their postseasons have sucked compared to their regular season output. Especially if they lose this series

2019: ALDS
2020: World Series
2021: ALDS
2022: Wild Card
2023: TBD
Sure but how many teams can say they have been to the postseason 5x in a row. They do it with a fraction of the payroll too.

You gotta keep in mind injuries this year. Their rotation esp has been devastated. Also they are missing a huge piece at SS, however disgusting a POS he is off the field.

I think Correa is going to be a great manager someday after his playing days are over.

Jays trying to make a game out of it with a run in T6. Pitching change for the Twins. Two on, two outs.

He's going to make way more money doing way less work in the booth.

Springer on why Correa is a postseason killer: "He's a mental giant."
Just imagine going back in time to 2019 and telling your younger self, in 2023 you'll be watching Correa with the Twins vs. Springer with the Blue Jays. You'd cry your eyes out, not realizing how incredible we've been without either of them!

But then imagine the joys of getting to tell that same self about Yordan, Tucker, JV's post-injury years, Bryan Abreu, and 2022 playoff Peña

And then smokes 103 at the top of the zone. Nasty.

Did sending the runner cause the out? The 1B was a long way off the bag to get that.

Don't think he was holding him on, or he wouldn't have been in position to get that. George looked upset about something though.

From a pitching standpoint what we're looking at in an opponent in Twins vs Jays is elite frontline vs depth, respectively. Lopez and Gray on the front end and Duran on the back vs a longer Jays rotation and bullpen but maybe no one except Gausman that quite touches the aforementioned names.

I don't know why the Jays just viscerally worry me more. The Twins are legitimately formidable.

Also imagine telling yourself in 2019 that the defensive specialist catcher you picked up at the tail end of the season, who hit .202 in 29 games that season would be your PRIMARY catcher in 2023. You'd cry your eyes out...and you'd be right.

I just randomly looked up what the biggest deficit was for us in the division this year.

On June 24th, it was 6.5 games. We were 41-36, Texas was 47-29.

They went 43-43 the rest of the year to get to 90 wins. On June 24, through 76 games, they were on a 100 win pace.

The Astros went 49-37 the rest of the way. We were on a pace to win 86 through 77 games.

Tuve and Yordon out cost us wins… with those guys in the lineup we prob win 10 more games (at least) but of course it is what it is

This is why 2020 is so dumb. We were like 7 back through 60 games and the season was just over.

I wonder how the playoffs would be different if the season ended after 60 days. Off the top of my head, the Rangers and Rays win their divisions. Would we even be in the playoffs?
