I mean, maybe. At the MLB level your pitch may only come once in an AB. If you see it, you should swing at it. Tucker should have hammered that ball.

There are so many who want guys like Bregman to swing at the first pitch because it's a fastball with a whole lot of plate.

We're more likely to get a hit and hit with power when we swing at the first pitch. It's not uncommon for the best pitch of the AB to be the first one.
