Damn. Just a sliver of hope remains for the postseason now.
Positives:
- got Brash in for >20 pitches and Muñoz for 14 and a run
- find a way to win tomorrow and it looks decent

Lose tomorrow and we can look forward to the nearing merciful end of the 2023 Astros Experience, a new manager, and maybe some fresh legs and perspective after a long offseason.
Bregman needs to be dropped like a rock in this order if you want to win the last literal must-win game left. He's either cooked or checked out and either way it is killing a team that already doesn't have the juice enough as is.

He basically needs 3 days off for every 1 he plays. His back is shot and it's so obvious just looking at his swing if he's hurting or not.
We actually may have been better off keeping Mancini at least he would have been relegated to the bottom of the lineup and properly platooned with Diaz

Broadcast keeps putting up that he's 2nd in AL in rbis for September. I'd like to see how many runners he's stranded. It has to be a massive amount. To lead the league in rbi for the month he has had to have way more opportunities than others.

Here's the scenarios for us to make the playoffs
1. Win today vs Seattle (will be 87-72)
- 2-1 over Arizona and we clinch a wild card
- 1-2 against Arizona and Texas loses today + Seattle has to sweep them (Seattle wins division) or Seattle gets swept by Texas
2. Lose today vs Seattle (will be 86-73)
- Sweep Arizona and need Texas to win 3/4 or sweep Seattle
- 2-1 over Arizona and you need Texas to sweep Seattle
Not ideal if you lose tonight.
3-1 finish clinches a spot (life is easier if one of those wins is against the team you're battling with for a final spot). 2-2 or worse and you're hoping for other games to break your way.

It also helps when 7 RBI came in one game
He had 14 over a 5 game stretch… and 8 in the other 15 games. So a bit skewed
With 10 games to go the thought was worse case go 6-4. We are currently 2-4.
