Keep in mind Yainer did some of those at 1B, DH, or PH.

Maldy has tons of issues but HRs aren't a major one. When he actually makes contact, it goes pretty well.

I was thinking the same thing. At minimum he'll make an ass out of himself if things don't go right. I could also see Bregman or Altuve getting plunked. And of course their trash fans will celebrate like they won a championship.

I would need 2015's take on this but it seems to me the FO has stepped in with the lineups realizing if we lose, our chances of even making the playoffs goes dramatically down and they are forcing Dusty's hand

True but we are seeing Diaz in the lineup at DH. If uncle mike was 100% there is a good chance DIaz is Catcher over Maldy and MIke DHs

If MB was healthy enough to come off the bench yesterday he should be able to DH. The fact he isn't isn't because Diaz is a better option but he can't catch because of big brain.

Since MB can play tomorrow in the field, this also lends that he's healthy today. So in my opinion Dana isn't forcing a lineup
