Unless it is 7-0 or 0-7 it is a split series. I think what they were trying to say is that the best case outcome for those two teams is that one of them will end up with at least 72 losses if they win all their other games and split the ones where they play each other 4-3.Bag said:how does one go about splitting a 7 game series?bearkatag15 said:The Astros magic number to clinch a postseason spot is six. If the Astros win six more games, they would finish 91-71.

How is that possible with four teams within a half game of each other:
If Texas and Seattle split their 7 games, one team would finish with 72 losses.

I have thought since 2017 this should have been the plan for LMJ as well...maybe even a closertexasaggie2015 said:I've been told by both of my people that he may end up in the bullpen when he comes back. 68 - Blue Jays
68 - Astros
68 - Rangers

This isn’t a criticism of Chas — I love Chas and his hustle. The point is that most players don’t sprint down the line on a play that is almost certainly an out and not even going to be close. It’s the smart thing to do. https://t.co/qrsuSCs3Lb

If astros, mariners, rangers all finish with 90 wins: astros have H2H over rangers, rangers have H2H over mariners, mariners have H2H over astros...who wins division? team with best division record?
then if blue jays also finish with 90 wins, hows the seeding work?

At 11 wins among the 3, a three-way tie is not good for the Astros

It's probably better on the body to sprint 500 times a season and not 1000 times.Frok said:Farmer1906 said:

What a Roger Doran response. "What do you want me to do, dive for it"
