Plus we have won 57% of our games. It would be against the odds to go even 5-1 against any two teams in baseball.

Effort does not reflect that. This looked like a team that won the WS last year and hey they put up double digit runs yesterday not caring about, taking for granted a game against one of the worst teams ever

IF we go 13-5 with the remaining schedule, Seattle would have to go 16-3 to tie/win the division. I think this is incredibly doable for the Astros.

On top of all that, I check my fantasy football box score to realize that the Jets' OT punt return for a TD has caused me to lose my matchup by 1.04 points.
That is just so perfectly 2023 Astros.
After 6 straight ALCS appearances, 4 WS, 2 WS titles, and 2 straight WS maybe it was inevitable that an attitude of 'who cares, the season begins in the postseason' would take hold.
I've come to expect us having one heaping trash pile of a game each week and just moving on. This better be it for the week.
