Meyers actually hits lefties very well. Same for Maldy. Given JV gives up a lot of fly balls it may make sense to play Meyers tonight. I doubt we'll see Brantley vs a lefty starter any time soon.

Chaz seems to be pressing a bit lately. Seems like most of his hits this past week were ground balls.

Yep you can upload any photo you want for the custom etching. I just used 2 pictures in my phone I had saved

Meyers is a better CF. Neither have a strong arm, but Jake definitely has better range and reads off the bat.

I agree and I'm fine with his range in center but he's been a disaster recently at bat and on the basepaths.
Meyers actually has a slightly higher ops the last 15 days than Chas, both struggling. Which makes me wonder what is up with Dubon?
You cant sit good players because they don't have good numbers over a small recent sample. Chas has 3 season fo good play and elite play over the last few months.
I'm not advocating for Chas to be benched for Meyers here, but getting Meyers a little bit of playing time might not be the worst right now.

I'm assuming we will carry Meyers into the postseason but do wonder if it's not a lock.

I don't think Dusty liked him showing frustration publicly. He criticized him for that in the past. Still not a reason to bench him.

Dusty Baker on no Dubn in CF behind Verlander: "I liked the matchup with Meyers. He didn't play at all in Boston. Everybody plays on my team. Plus, I don't want everybody to think there's a designated this or that. I got my reasons for playing different guys at different times."

Bull***** This is the only justification why we get the insanity of Dubon in center field and a horrible catcher behind the plate every damn start for multiple pitchers whether it makes sense or not. Friggen hypocrite.

GM 5 was one of the most nerve racking edge of your seat gut wrenching games I've ever watched.

That catch was just a microcosm of the entire game. I remember getting notifications from my smartwatch saying 'Stress level high. Relax' in like the 4th or 5th inning.

The entire game was absolutely incredible to watch and experience the ebbs and flows. Such a pivotal game for both teams. Playoff baseball at its greatest.

Something about this team and WS game 5s. We are 4-0 in them, and 3 of the 4 were instant classics in Astros lore

2017: crazy 13-12 game
2019: blowout win
2021: crazy comeback after the Braves hit the 1st inning grand slam
2022: classic game with great pitching and top 10 defensive plays

I know I'm probably being overly sensitive, but was anyone else bothered by Smoltz habitually addressing all our opponents players with their first name ("JT") like they are personal friends but never seemingly doing the same for Astros players ("Altuve," "Tucker," etc.)?

I actually enjoy Smoltz. Very intelligent. This play is a perfect example. He was just talking about how JT is best when he goes oppo then boom...He goes oppo.

Dude I cannot stand smoltz, yes he was an all time talent but his overengineering of literally every pitch is exhausting
