With Dominguez and Wells arriving, and SS Anthony Volpe, IF Oswald Peraza and OF Everson Pereira already on the big league roster, the Yankees are going as young as they have in a long time. And considering how this year has gone, they need it.

The Guardians have also claimed LHP Matt Moore from the Angels on waivers, per source.

Funny thought exercise from Ballpark Dimensions. If the Angels put Trout on waivers, how far would he fall before someone puts in a claim? Note - you take on the contract 7/248 M.

Rangers and Mariners have two more remaining games to play than the Astros do...was kind of surprised to see that neither are playing today while we are off, too.

I actually made a bit of a change in my last outing. There's a difference in my windup, and in the stretch, where my hands are coming set. And my shoulders are already lined up out of the windup. It's just a little rocker step kind of deal. That's something we've been talking about for a while. We're trying to clean up some inconsistencies that came with my previous [delivery]. It worked against the Tigers [on August 26], and hopefully it will continue to work."

The Mariners claimed Leone. Does this mean neither the Astros nor Rangers put in a waiver?
Mike Clevinger confused that he can't just leave the White Sox like he did his wife and kids. https://t.co/6Kiopr0M3A

actually I think it is more. 189 millionW said:
the Yankees can do all the maneuvering they want to...
but for their 2024 payroll...
Cole + Judge + Stanton = $108 MM
then Rodon + Rizzo + DJ = $60 MM
plus another $15 MM for guys they DFA'd
$183 MM already locked in for next year

I'm sure they love screwing the Twins and other teams out of getting the players as wellAgLA06 said:
And they got something for them in return for the future.
Now they have what they got previously and almost free rentals upgrades for the last almost 30 games. Why they hell not? It's gravy on top. Make the race close and that means more seats, concessions, and revenue. Luck out and make up 5 games and watch out.
And for a month they told their own team and fans "we arent good enough to compete this year"AgLA06 said:

That should be 7 games, not 6. So even better for us.Danwell Home said:
Peeping the last three series I really like the setup for the Astros in the final push.
Astros - Face the Royals/Mariners/Diamondbacks
Mariners - Face the Rangers/Astros/Rangers
Rangers - Face the Mariners/Angels/Mariners
Rangers and Mariners get to beat each other up for 6 games. We just have to take care of business while one of those teams is guaranteed a loss in each of those. I'm thinking our much higher playoff % chances compared to Rangers/Mariners is tied to these 6 games. Rangers get somewhat of a break with the Angels series but the Mariners have a TOUGH draw. They better hope they have some left in the tank, they've had to exert a lot of energy in this A's series and have more games to play than us.
The Blue Jays have an easy stretch here with series against the Rockies/A's/Royals, but it steps up some to finish Rangers/Red Sox/Yankees/Rays/Yankees/Rays. I like seeing the Rays matchups but I hope they aren't running away with the WC at that point. Blue Jays should be talked about a bit more with them only being 2.5 back of the WC.

Giants got the most out of him in 21 and 22, but then he forgot how to pitch for LAA. Don't be shocked if Seattle finds a niche for him.
The Mariners are headed to New York City fitted in Run-DMC tracksuits and a message from Rev Run himself.
