I just knew Diaz would be on the bench. Doesn't make it any less frustrating.

I imagine Dusty's logic has to do with singleton being a better defensive option at 1B

Jose Abreu is hurt and there's three ways Diaz can get into the lineup. First base, DH or catcher. And he's still on the bench.

Wins and losses in late August in a pennant race are fan stuff. We don't need guys clogging up the bases. On-base percentage is good, but RBIs are better. Diaz struggles with lefties. Everyone trying to help me manage, I don't need it, thank you.

I wish someone in the media would have the balls to flat out ask Dusty why does he insist on not playing Diaz daily down the stretch when they are literally fighting for a playoff spot.

Dusty is playing with fire. He is doing this out of spite in hopes the team will make the playoffs just so he can tell the naysayers he did it his way and that he was able to rest players, etc. He's a ****ing idiot.
