Crap. Mariners are on a 7 game game win streak with 2 more at White Sox, 3 vs KC, 3 vs Oakland, then 3 at Mets before finally facing someone with a winning record, albeit on 3 games over at Cincy.

If as of 9/11 we are no more than 2 games back of the Rangers and Mariners for the lead, I feel like we will win the division.

Of course, I'd much rather be a game or so up at that point and run away with it

Our BP has quietly been phenomenal. Our only blemishes recently have been forcing guys like Mushinski into the game.

Unless I'm missing something (I don't have the stats in front of me), we seem to be rounding into 2022 form. I think the IL stint for Maton will help him too.

It really is a WS-caliber BP, particularly if Montero is really back. He had a 2.31 ERA in July and has a 1.13 ERA in August so far.

The front office really has to figure out how to get the SP arms at least some rest going into the final stretch because the pieces on the team are there to make a deep run in the post season.
