I grew up close to Needville. Back in the 80s the population wasn't 2,000 even if you included cows. How in the world did this happen?!

I just noticed the A's have breached negative THREE HUNDRED in run differential with 38 games to go.

They've scored 442 and allowed 745 in cruising to 34-90. Throwing out the 1899 Cleveland Spiders, the worst differential in MLB history is the 1932 Boston Red Sox at -349. The A's are going to cruise past that.

It's time for Javier to move to the pen for a bit. He's been really bad lately in the rotation and looks spent. France, JV, and Framber(his struggles notwithstanding) are locks for the playoff rotation. Urquidy isn't going to be a weapon out of the pen, he's either the game 4 starter, mop up guy, or not on playoff roster. Both Brown and Javier can be weapons out of the pen so we need to use both in that role as we skip turns in the rotation.
