Yep… I mentioned it earlier but Framber and Javier are dealing with some serious arm fatigue. The outlook is not very optimistic. This is a huge problem.
Yeah, the starters have done the team zero favors. And here Javier is with 3 runs surrendered and 26 pitches thrown in the first... and counting.
That's just unacceptable.

It's time to sit him at least one turn. If France and Brown can do it, Javier can do it. Trotting him out every fifth day isn't helping anyone. Not him, not the lineup, not the bullpen, not the record.
Framber and Javier basically shot at this point. Now relying on JV, Urquidy, and JP France in a playoff series.

The chance to prevent them from knocking this squad solidly into third place was when they were in Houston, not with their schedule following. It's probably going to get worse before it gets better to end the month.

These guys pitched at a high level all the way to November last year and were in spring training in less than 3 months…not to mention how quickly some of these guys had to ramp up due to the WBC. Arm fatigue is 100% real.
I would not complain if Arighetti and Bielak took Javier's and Framber's starts this weekend. Swap them out one for the other and send one of those AAAA bats back down. The Astros may lose anyway, but at least these guys get a breather.

Well, you don't have to believe it. But it's true. These guys pitched deep into the WS. And then the WBC. And Javier has pitched more over the last year than he has his entire life.
