Yeah I think the clock has struck midnight on Singleton
The problem with a guy like SIngleton is you can't convince him not to swing for the fences. All they needed during that at-bat was to put it in the air into the outfield for a SF or go with the pitch and get it through the infield, but his brain can't make that logic work.
