Pretty excited to see the Billy D package before the game tomorrow night. Growing up in the 80s with my dad working out of town 6 months a year, my mom and my grandparents took us to a lot of Dome games in the summer time.

Doran did 2 things during that time that I have never seen again in person at a game.

1) Lead off the bottom of the first with an inside-the-park home run.
2) Lead off the bottom of the first with a triple and steal home on the NEXT PITCH.

Great memories, I grew up listening to the radio call of Gene Elston and Loel Passe as a kid. I had a crappy little clock radio that could barely lock on the signal. I would spend many a summer's night straining to follow the game as the signal faded in and out. For the west coast games I'd to go to bed, turn the radio on low and put it next to my ear, inevitably only to fall asleep as Gene and Loel described the action. That started my love affair with the 'Stros.
