I'm okay with Peña taking the approach of not swinging at any close sliders. Not many at bats will a pitcher dot 2 sliders on the corner. We all know if Peña goes up there trying to decide on if a slider is a strike or not then he will swing at every single one of them.
Michael Lorenzen threw 124 pitches in that no-no.

Agree. Sadly for us, Flaherty just sacked up and executed two perfect pitches when it mattered.
