They should have let Anderson back onto the field. He wanted more of Cleveland.

I was rolling when Vaughn picked him up and just noped him back into the dugout like a toddler.

He wasn't gonna make it far, he had jello legs trying to come off the field the first time

But we all wanted to see him try.

And it was a half fisted connection with the palm side...not like he connected his full fist.

Anderson out there like Glass Joe

I wonder if he hit his head against the turf, the punch didn't seem that hard.

checking the Guardians upcoming schedule...

in the event Jose Ramirez gets a lengthy suspension...

Cleveland plays the Blue Jays (4 games) and the Rays (3 games) next week

a good development for those wildcard teams

Great park. Joe Mauer was inducted into the Twins Hall of Fame and apparently he played the game the right way.

It's a fantastic venue, just wish they'd stop having the Astros up here in freaking early April

The Padres - Dodgers game is a clown show this last inning.

Padres were down 1-3, and now up 8-3.

As much as I hate him

I CAN NOT WAIT FOR JOMBOY!!

There are some great angles and clips for him to splice and even a follow up scuffle. Going to be great!

And that radio call is fabulous.

speaking of Joe Mauer...

he was one of the first post-steroid era cautionary tales...about giving a long-term contract to a player...that runs too far past the age of 30.

he was great up to his age 30 season in 2013, but then the decline came quickly.

the last 5 years of his contract were rough for the small market Twins

Minnesota has a tendency to give hometown guys huge contracts that never pan out (Parise and Suter on the Wild crippled that franchise)

Twins hit double digits vs the Snakes, Ryan Jeffers has a career game going 3 for 4 with 2 HR, 1 2B, and 4 RBI.

Correa goes 1 for 4 with a RBI, lifting his season BA to .221. Not bad work for $30 mil.

Joey Gallo goes 0 for 3 with 3 Ks and 1 BB.

Unfortunately a lesser exciting game in the AL Central tonight than the one in Cleveland.

the Mariners (59-52) win again over the Angels (56-56)

need LAAA to salvage the finale tomorrow

Seattle has a cupcake August schedule with 13 games vs. the A's, Royals, and White Sox

Makes you wonder if Seattle is now regretting selling.

And of course we have the Angels who have completely blown their small chances and simultaneously made certain their return for Shohei will be the QO.

Addition by subtraction, perhaps, in addition to the softer schedule?

Correa's trajectory is fascinating. He should be playing in his prime years right now but he seems to have peaked extremely early with the Astros

Hate to see it because he really seemed poised to be a star player

Yep. Angels have lost 5 straight (all since the trades) and are now at .500 and 6 games back of the WC. Can't get out of their own way and even surprised Trout continues to run out their with them (when available of course)

What's up with Correa?

Would have never guessed he'd have a pretty healthy season but that he wasn't a good hitter anymore.

Morneau & Mauer looked like future HOFers at age 27-28 but were both washed halfway into their big contracts.
