Because he's not a first baseman. You can't simply just put someone somewhere they've never played. It's a tough position at this level.
You mean like infielders who become pitchers, or catchers who become infielders and then outfielders, or 3B who become 1B?

There are countless examples of guys switching to positions they've never played. I'm not saying do it in the middle of the season, but I will never be convinced it's too hard. If he can run around in LF every other game, he can learn to cover a base and catch throws from the INF.

If you guys continue insisting on going to the Ranger thread, let's at least start playing some 4D chess.

Suggestions:

1) Picking random posts there, particularly with little-to-no impact and blue starring the hell out of them. I think we got Mr. Gigem's Verlander post up to 43 stars yesterday.

2) Pick a player on their bench or bullpen who rarely plays and start making very detailed posts about how this guy needs a chance, with intense, mathguy level analysis of his stats in the minors and all those little toggle switch graphics that you guys post that I'll never understand.

Sure- and those guys are super skilled defensively. Yordan isn't as skilled. What's easy to some isn't for others.

They've tried. Believe me. It wasn't going to work.
