According to the Texas thread, I'm a dingleberry and the Astros front office is obsessed with the Rangers for countering by getting Verlander. It's not baseball. It's not trying to keep up with the division leader. It's obsession. And I'm a dingleberry!

Why in the literal hell would we be obsessed with a team with zero championships and one that we've dominated for almost the past decade. They sound real dumb over there.

It's not even that. It's just baseball. You want to win the division, the division leader makes a big move so you counter with your own. Any other team in any sport would try to do the same. I don't get how it's obsession.

Because he's not a first baseman. You can't simply just put someone somewhere they've never played. It's a tough position at this level.
