I've heard this as well. I think we overvalue Gilbert because he's the first first-round pick we've had in a while. He's a good prospect and could very well be a great player.. but he has his warts. He's not a guarantee.

You can't have an owner making deals while their GM is trying to make deals at the same time. They are working from the same player pool to deal with.

Add to it Crane seemingly locked on JV means Dana can't really make a run at any other starter for fear of getting two.
