But Max is know and proven cheater! The Rangers don't stand for that kinda crap. Surely they don't want him on their team.

I hope the Rangers land Max and give up a crap ton to do it.

That guy is soft as Charmin and will eventually break down. He wouldn't have as big an impact as his name implies.

CJ Cron or Ji-Man Choi will be an Astro? I mean, Seth Brown is about as limp an acquisition as possible. Not that either of the former are superstars, but more in line with what one thinks when they hear "bat".

I've been saying Choi the last few days (week). He'd be a very nice buy low candidate to come off the bench and spot start and just crush righties.

I mentioned Seth Brown a few weeks ago. He has no protection in the A's lineup. He's also cheap and controllable. He plays OF and 1B. He'd be a buy low, low key acquisition that could pay dividends.

G Man of course has a very small sample for the season because he was injured for so long, but 1/3 of his XBH and overall production came against us.

Back that 3 game set out and he looks really bad.

Agreed. He is still making hard contact when he connects with a good launch angle.

I would be down with a Seth Brown acquisition. Decent young controllable 1B/OF LH bat with a high upside.

He's not a FA until 2027 so he could be a nice bridge from Abreu to Clifford.

The Rangers have shown they are willing to spend out their ass in FA contracts. Look at DeGrom, Semien, Seagar. They appear to have taken the Padres approach. Just buy players and try and win. Unlike SD it seems to be working for the Rangers this year.

And once you win it all, you can tap into new season ticket streams, uni streams, media streams etc.

Everyone here poo poos them but you all better be ready for it.

Now do G man this year. And take out our three game series and compare it to Abreu this year versus RHP. It's not much different.

G Man plays way better defense. But I'll bet $100 right now that Dusty won't play him. Look at what happened last year with Vazquez and Mancini. Dusty is very protective of his guys and vets on his team. Abreu is both.

I think we still try to build the best roster regardless of the manager. If he plays it wrong then he plays it wrong. It's the hand we've been dealt this year. Maybe it'll be different this year.
