Well the Rockies did beat Marlins 2/3 in Miami and A's have beat Rangers 2 times in only 7 games. Sometimes bad teams beat good ones.

It remains the biggest indictment of the plate approach for this team, in my opinion. I get that a good slider is hard to hit across the league- and we love it when our pitchers execute it- but Astro hitters REFUSE to look opposite field. It is 100% about attacking the ball and yanking it with everything you have. Gotta mash for that slugging percentage, while on base perentages plummet.

Meanwhile, A's load them up with nothing hit remotely hard.
