No we're not -Altuve isn't playing in the Ranger series.
Astros are playing to their typical "down to other team's level" on the current road trip. They usually ramp up nicely for key series like the one starting Monday.

I think baseball has come around on the idea that your best hitters bat at the top of the lineup. At worst teams put high on base guys there before someone with pop. Dubon is 7th in OBP & Julks is 5th. They're 8th & 6th in wRC+.

XBH totals probably correlate quite strongly with runs scored (by a player) so it makes sense.

I kinda think he's giving Bielak a playoff audition, in terms of trust (to get 9-12 outs perhaps)

It really does piss me off that Yordan is doing an AAA assignment instead of DHing against the A's if Diaz was only going to play in 2 of the 4 games of this series.
