I like McMahon but where are you playing him? He's an excellent 3B so you're wasting a lot of his value not playing him there. He's never played OF in the bigs.

He plays 1B, 2B and 3B.

Have Dubie fill-in in the OF.

I'm not trying to make a case for him. I'm trying to think of LHH. Dubon gives them more flexibility.

Julks is 27 - he's not old at all.

I do believe this is forthcoming and the reason he was given a shot and see if something caught on. It hasn't so I believe when he is demoted will be DFA'd and probably still retained in Sugarland but no longer on 40man

It's nothing in the grand scheme of minor leaguers. It is very old and a long period of time for someone who becomes a regular or a long term major leaguer.

The purpose of drafting college players is if they have the skill they move faster and are ML ready faster. Not playing college 2-4 yr and then in the minors another 4 yr. At that point get a stud HS kid and give them 3-5 yr in the minors and they're only 21-24 and controllable until about 28-30, their prime years.

I'm taking my family to the game tomorrow night and need to get some opinions. They have a giveaway that the kids want to participate in, but don't know how that works. How early before the game should we show up to get the giveaway? How early do they open the gates?

Anything else we should know? It's been a long time since we have been to the ballpark.

Depends on the giveaway. Some are first 10,000 fans and some are for kids only and some are for everyone with a ticket.

If it's popular like a bobblehead or something you'll need to be there when the gates open 2 hours before game time (I think).
