Just a normal summer game for the Angels, Trout and Rendon.

Those other teams should be paying attention to what happens when you put your best hitter and pitcher in the same body

No doubt. Ohtani is the best player in baseball, but giving him a huge longterm deal is fraught with danger.

Honestly since we began this Golden Era of Astros baseball I can't give two fcks about AS selections.

It's always been a joke but I've now realized its just for all the losers who have nothing to celebrate. Look no further than the losers to our north.

It no longer bothers me that we don't get selections. It didn't bother me when our guys declined when it was in LA.

I'm completely apathetic to it all.

It's just the usual but moreso. How many recent Astros have lived up to their big $100+M deals, whether here or elsewhere? Springer, Correa, and Bregman have all underperformed. Too early on JV but that doesn't look good either. His extension with us also was also money down the toilet. Cole has arguably been good enough but we haven't gotten to the back half. Basically Altuve has been worth it and that's it. Seems like the formula is sign them with more than 2 years of control left while you have leverage or let them walk is the way to go.
