Not to be a tease… but I had a very interesting name mentioned to me tonight that the Astros have inquired on. I want to get more clarification before throwing a name out there but I was a little surprised considering how much I think he would cost. It's a bat and he has multiple years of club control.
Its Mike Trout.texasaggie2015 said:

You are clearly playing it coy right now, but someone out of left field not already discussed here as a possible/desired target, or just someone you didn't think was a realistic option?
Got to be Verdugo, Perez, Robert, Goldy, or Reynolds.texasaggie2015 said:

It's been a long time since he's seen big league pitching.

I have seen you say this over and over again, even saying it was two years since he has seen big league pitching redundantly.
The reality is he played last year for about a third of the year, He also started a rehab session this year. Where he was starting to adjust to the new rule.
I don't know if he will make a come back or not but the idea that it has been 'ancient of days' since facing big league pitching is just not factual.
Yes, which is why I'm waiting for clarification before I go into some detail. It was my understanding it was just an inquiry but I'm trying to see if there's more smoke to it. I think there's a chance there might be more to it.Harry Dunne said:
I have a friend who worked in the front office during the Luhnow era and still works in baseball. He has told me that they make nearly constant inquiries about literally every player that is a possibility. I'm sure they have called the Angels about Trout and Ohtani. Just like I'm sure clubs have called us about Yordan and Framber.
Unless you're facing the A's.Quote:
Also... the brief rehab stint was in AAA. That's not big league pitching. But I digress.
