This team's ceiling with an offense this abjectly terrible is a struggle for the last wild card. That's really it.

It was a good AB for Julks. Its not on him we couldn't score 2 runs against the Reds.

The whole order needs to be shifted back to what was working earlier. I don't understand this thought of Altuve needing more warmup swings, so he's batting 2nd.
He's the perfect guy to bat 1st.
No Yordan, Bregman having the worst year of his career, and an anchor in the human pear means many stretches of terrible offense.

I'm so pissed we are stuck with Dusty's old ass this whole season. If Dana and Crane had the balls they would fire his ass. We haven't run the same lineup out there 2 games in a row all season! How the hell are the guys supposed to get in a groove when they have no idea what is gunna happen between games. Altuve has batted lead off every game since George left. Now all of the sudden out of nowhere he gets moved to second. And he instantly slumps. I mean Altuve was 0-100 in the playoffs last year and Dusty never moved him out of lead off and now all of the sudden he does.

Will say it's fun watching the Rangers slowly slide back to reality after facing half decent teams. Whether or not the Astros have half of what it takes to be the team taking advantage of it.

Braves have had Fried and Wright miss meaningful time, along with Arcia, Harris, and d'Arnaud. Rangers lost deGrom and Seager for a while. Rays lost Springs, Rasmussen, and a few others. Yankees had half their rotation on the IL and Judge has had two IL stints. Dodgers are missing Buehler and May, had Gonsolin miss time, and lost their starting SS preseason.
All of them are still winning. Injuries aren't an excuse. This team is throwing away tons of winnable games because its offense is tragically awful and its manager is playing hopscotch in a world of chess.
To be fair, the yanks and dodgers have the same record as us. A couple moves at the deadline and certain guys getting things going could make a huge difference. For all the pitching losses, pitching isn't the problem.
Yet we keep wasting good starts.

Let's hope we don't end up like that 2007 team.
As we all know offense clearly the biggest issue. With a black hole at catcher. Slow start at first and a 3rd baseman who is average right now. Plus no altuve for most of the year and no yordan now. Trade for a big bat if possible. And maybe an arm. But a big bat would do wonders for this team imo.
