We are all on the spectrum. Just that some are deeper into the tail of the distribution than others. And that dude is 6 sigma deep.

The part I like is he doesn't wait to get home to moms basement to lose his mind. He does it right there in his seat in front of 40000 other crazies.

Since Yordan made his debut in 2019 the Astros have played in 546 games. And he's appeared in 425 of them. That's 77.8%. And that number is going to be dropping this summer. By now it's probably wishful thinking that number will ever get better. Just gotta hope he's ok for post season, if the Astros have one this year.

I remember that last year's team had five players left from the 2017 championship team. And Verlander and Yuli left so that should leave three. But all I could come up with were Altuve and Bregman. It bugged me for a couple of days. Who was I missing ? I finally had to look it up. It's been so long since Lance has seemed part of the team I couldn't think of him for the life of me. I know this has to be rough for him.

It's a safe bet to say the Astros will have a postseason
You had to look that up?
Lance pitched in the postseason last year. He's been a part of this team more recently than Brantley.

What a cool moment last night to see Maldy hit his 100th career HR. Hopefully we do the right thing this offseason and extend him long term. Would be a shame to see him hit his 200th with another club.

Zero chance he pitches in 2023. High probability he has another surgery and does not pitch in 2024, then possibly returns in 2025 or maybe never pitches again.

At least Brantley went through spring training and a rehab assignment where we were tracking his progress at Sugarland. If Lance's last game pitched turns out to be game 3 of last year's WS that's going to be a shame.

Yea. It's a fine line for alpha competitive athletes between their inclination to battle through the pain and the reality that sometimes time/surgery is the only realistic option.

Looks like Tarik Skubal had the same surgury.

~10-11 months recovery. Realistic chance we see Lance early in 2024, I guess. Probably the best bad news we could have expected after ramping up and having to stop.

We have bodies in Bielak, France, & Blanco to fill out to back end of the rotation. We need a playoff arm.

Maybe early in his career, but I feel like the Lance after TJ was more aware of these things.
