That's the irritating part of it all. We should have picked up two games at least, but laid two eggs in Cleveland and a couple in Toronto. So many missed opportunities.
First half of the season has been full of missed opportunities, but the fact that the manager of the team willingly and blatantly took an L today has me resigned to just hitting the reset button after the off day. Lot of time left.
On a different note, anyone else think we'd rather shoot our shot with Blanco as the last starter after going back to five? Bielak is what he is, and what he is is not major league level.

it seems like the entire organization from Dana to Dusty to the players to TK & Blummer put way too much emphasis on "17 games in 17 days" -- like the end of the world or something was coming.

Well since they haven't said a word they really haven't lied. Yet. Now when they say it's a mild forearm strain we can all start to worry.

I think the positive outlook is this could likely be the start of their regression to actuals / result of hitting an actual schedule and we've played about as poorly as our talent level could allow. Equalization might be on the horizon.

TK & Blummer LOVE to talk about this subject. Drives me nuts. They play baseball for 3 hours a night, big whoop. They should be able to handle it.

The way this lineup was constructed today by Dusty was set up very well for Bieber. There was no protection whatsoever for our better hitters so Bieber could basically pitch around guys like Bregman and Tucker knowing no one was a threat coming up next.
I will say Kessinger has impressed me. Looks comfortable playing the field and does show some plate discipline on limited at bats. Being the grandson of a former major leaguer I'm sure it helps. Reminds me of how Kaeden Kent performed in a limited role. Bright future for both young men.

Well I was curious too so I looked at all the sugar land guys. Quincy Hamilton just got called up this week and he's had 4 home runs this week. Also holy crap the ERAs of the pitching staff are crazy. There's basically nobody under 5.50

Yeah I wouldn't say this team isn't good. It's not the tremendous team of last year but should still win 90+. Now if we could make a smart trade or two to drop some dead weight…..

We're basically down to our ninth starter … haven't been that bad, really. Need to get healthy and get some SP help at the deadline.
