Yank Abreu for having his head up his ass, and while you're at it, yank Dusty for the same damn thing. Why in creation is Maldonado batting in anything resembling a high leverage situation?

I am growing to hate watching this team because of these three individuals. Nothing but failure after failure after failure.

I liked him in 2021. Ever since the strike em out throw em out in the ALCS he's done nothing. His best play of 2022 was getting hit by a pitch in the World Series. His backup had more postseason RBI and caught the no hitter.

I honestly don't quite understand this thinking. So if we pinch hit and Diaz then gets hurt or is otherwise incapacitated, we have to bring in an emergency third string? It's one game! And it's a game we are losing already! Why not take the chance to increase the odds of an AB, especially if there are RISP? I completely understand if this were October, but it's not. And we are desperately searching fora way out of this mid-season funk.

Unfortunately this team isn't good enough right now to overcome their own mistakes and Framber not throwing home earlier was a major one. Would still be 2-0, as pretty sure home to first would have been the easier DP.
