Yep. He has stuff to work on, but when he really connects, he scalds the ball. The problem is, he doesn't really connect enough.

Got to be Bagwell. Top 4 first baseman post 1900. Nobody turns that down.

I won't really argue with anyone that wants to pick Bagwell, but their career numbers (not the counting ones) are really similar.

Bagwell v Berkman
.297/.408/.540, 149 OPS+ against .293/.406/.537, 144

Berkman has a little more flexibility, which I think is nice on this team.

I dream of a day where these ******* umps are held accountable for their behavior. Inexcusable that a sport as big as MLB allows their officials to behave like children when they're missing calls this badly.
