Currently 38th in dWAR for right fielders. No matter how skewed that metric may be, he hasn't been league average this year, much less a gold glover.

I'm hoping this jinxed him. His offensive numbers haven't been much better. His WAA is -0.2.

Hard to get worked up over France or Bielak. They are who they are, and they have been outperforming their metrics and minor league career numbers so far this year. Anything we get from them is cake, but that does apply a lot of pressure to Valdez, Javier, and Brown. Just need those guys to go undefeated!

Another downside of this offense is that starters stick around a long time and the Astros seldom get into bullpens well before the closer or set up guy.

I've been meaning to ask this question. Dusty is very quick to credit Maldy for his work with the pitchers, but he looks into the dugout before every pitch. Who is actually calling pitches during games? It looks to me that a coach is doing it.
