I don't think the Rockies are so much laying an egg as the Rangers offense is the exact opposite of ours. If they find a bull pen (or buy one) they will be there all season.

I know some here don't want to admit it but they are for real and IMHO this Division is No sure thing. Not with our offense. We have a WS level staff but the offense could hold them back.

They might be good but they still really haven't played many good teams and the best team they faced (Braves) they lost 2 of 3 at home. Yes they spanked the Yanks and swept the Phillies but I'm not impressed with either of those teams this year (and haven't been that impressed with the Yankees for a while).

And yes they took 2 of 3 from us but we all know we're nowhere near where we should be (especially back when we faced them).

Pitching will either carry them or sink them...like most clubs but especially them and their history of having great hitting teams with pitching that crumbles as the season wears on.

This is the part I don't think you guys take seriously. They have a really decent 1-2-3. DeGrom-Perez-Eavoldi is really, really solid. They alone can keep the Rangers close enough to convince the GM to go out and make some moves for some decent bullpen arms.

Now, DeGrom has already had some minor issues, so we'll see if he stays healthy through the trade deadline. Eavoldi has been ridiculous to start the year. I don't think he keeps that up, but if he's only slight worse, he's really solid.

If the Astros offense doesn't really begin to produce, the Rangers are going to be a thorn in the team's side all season because I think if they are anywhere near a wild card or even 1st place in the division, they will absolutely make moves to improve their bullpen this season.

And despite their great start and the Astros struggles, they're only two games up.

My Maine point is the offense needs to pick it up and put the division out of reach!

I agree with you, but they already have a couple of halfway decent guys. If they are willing to part with a lot for even 1 or 2 really decent guys, that majorly helps them.

I added to my post is that my main point is the Astros offense just needs to step it up and put the division out of reach.

In my opinion I don't care as long as we win. I like to enjoy baseball and especially enjoy this past almost decade of success. Picking apart everything and *****ing 24/7 about managers, coaches and players is not enjoyable at all. And this isn't a Dusty thing at all either. You guys *****ed for years about Hinch. God Himself could be our manager is all His perfection and you all would still find a reason to ***** about something He did.

They have had Will Smith turn into WS Braves closer Will Smith instead of so bad we dump you for Odo Will Smith.

It's classic reliever Russian roulette. A guy can be so bad one year he gets basically dumped and become Mariano Rivera the next.
