That's just fan stuff. Yeah, he's a stubborn mother****er that Dusty. It's almost like he does it out of spite and doesn't want to be proven wrong. In no way, shape, or form should someone batting as weakly as Abreu be your clean-up hitter. ****ing stupid!

Crazy thing is he does it for the LRL but really there's an argument to be made that you want a lefty pitching to Yordan and Tucker.

And also any one of us can get Abreu out so it's not like it's making a difference for him.

I actually like having Alvarez-Tucker because of something Blum said. If you only have one lefty arm in your bullpen, or only one good lefty arm, you have to decide if you're going to use them in middle of the game when guys are on base for Yordan/Kyle, or wait until later in the game.

I like the idea of forcing a managers hand.

Imagine if Abreu was coming up after Yordan grounded out in the 9th in the Cubs comeback win. If we're lucky Tucker comes up with 2 outs but let's face it, we all know Jose hits into a double play.

I'm probably one of the few on this board that lives out of market, but MlbTV is doing a 50% off sale this weekend in case there are any others on here.
