How do we justify keeping Bregman in the lineup when his BA goes below.200 in a few more at bats?

Fielders choice is when the batter-runner reaches because the defense chose to get a different runner out. Defensive indifference is when the defense does not try to stop a stolen base.

The fact the the SS came up looking to go home and pumped his arm means it should not have been DI to me. Even on a steal when the catcher does not throw, it's only DI if nobody even moves to cover 2nd base. It has to be complete indifference by the entire defense to that runner.

Because Bregman has one of the highest walk rates in the league. Look deeper than BA, please.

There a lot of mistakes you can make with minimal blowback. 10, 20 years maybe this was one of those. In 2023 he's probably done.

When Thom Brennaman made his on air faux pas in 2020 they suspended him mid game and he was fired shortly there after.

We all get what he meant to say. But it's what he said that is going to bite him hard. I don't know that announcer at all but I'll be shocked if he's not at a minimum suspended tomorrow. Frankly I won't be shocked if he's fired tomorrow. It will be all over the internet in the morning and someone is going to make a big deal out of it.
