Pathetic performance. But we need to remember, we are World Champs, so we will be getting everyone's best shot.

We are missing Altuve, Brantley and Chas. Yordan had missed some time. We are down Luis, Urquidy and LMJ. We need to stay close and get healthy.

I'd extend him. I love Bregman but I'm just saying we won't have to worry about the massive deal potential that some were talking about. I'd give him the 5 year 100 MM type of extension. Some were mentioning a $200 MM plus type of extension for him in free agency. I think we could get him for closer to $100 MM

Way to find the negative with a negative player hitting over .300 and having an out of body season so far. He's been an animal at the plate and there is no reason to **** on what he's done so far

He totally is having an out of body season so far. And I said he's been fun. That said, those numbers aren't made up and they merit as much mention as anything else heading into an off day off a terrible series loss. I figure enough has been said about how Abreu hits with the force of a pool noodle, hardly anyone is walking, and this team has yet to win a series at home. (Edit: One, forgot about the Jays.)

The GIDP number proobably wouldn't have even been a topic raised elsewhere on this thread if he hadn't had the back-breaking one before the Bregman home run.

Dubon is playing very similarly to how he did in 19 and 20 with the Giants. The avg wasn't as good but he had more pop and a little more ability to draw walks. He just struggled mightily in 2022 after the trade so our expectations were very low.

2020 - 100
2023 - 100 (will drop slightly after today)

Dubon isn't above criticism because of low expectations.

I don't have the stats, but my impression is that Dubon is a disaster when pulling the ball.

We could be 10 games under or 10 games over when we get back Altuve, Brantley, & McCullers. The bye is still on the table either way.

I heard Dana's spot on the radio this morning and he put into pretty good perspective.

Hover around .500 say 2 games over until Altuve and Brantley get back then all you gotta do is rip off a 5 game streak and you're now 7 games over. Hover there then rip off another 4-5 game streak then you're double digits over and rolling.

None of that is stretch for this team. It doesn't take long to get going.

I know he's not the manager or in the field but he is the freakin GM and based on him apparently having zero influence on Dusty or on who should be catching, DHing, and sitting, I'm not impressed with Dana so far. I think we could all find at least 8-10 games where Dusty put a line up out there that didn't give us the best chance to win. 1/5th of the season is done and we are barely above 500.
